SPARTACUS "SPARTY"'S STORY

Spartacus aka Sparty was rescued from the Downey shelter. He was surrendered because his owners said he’s “to playful” well he’s only 1 so we expect our pups to be playful.

Sparty landed his forever home and is doing amazing. His first night home he slept with his mom, and dad in bed. They woke up in the middle of the night and Sparty was sleeping on his moms head. It’s like he’s always been there.

Happy life baby boy. We love you so much.

MILO'S STORY

Milo was rescued from a hoarding case with over 100 dogs. He went directly to the vet and was shaved down. He had a dental, neuter and from there he went into a foster to adopt home.

His Foster mom decided shortly after fostering him she couldn’t let go so she adopted this little boy. He needed work to be shown how special he is and that life doesn’t have to hurt.

He’s truly living the good life now.

HARMONY & BALDRIC'S STORY

Harmony & Baldric had been surrendered as a bonded pair to the Baldwin Park Shelter. Baldric had a private party CTA (commitment to adopt), but once they knew he had a sister they cancelled the CTA so we could reunite these two cuties. Harmony had major surgery x's 2 for two massive hernias. Both dogs had severe Periodontal disease which required several teeth extractions. Medically cleared they are ready to start the next phase of this second chance.

GARFIELD'S STORY

He's a happy, low/moderate energy  Pomeranian mix. He enjoys playing in the yard and with his stuffed toys. He's learing to trust and walk on a leash.

MONA'S STORY

Mona was adopted from the Downey shelter in 2017, a little over 1 year later her family (do to illness) needed to rehome her. I went back to the original thread from Downey shelter and saw not one person shared her post or even "liked" it.
It was completely blank which left us feeling so sad for her.

We decided to rescue her and find a home that matches all her needs.

FINLEY'S STORY

Spencer now Finley was found tied to a tree on a Barstow, CA road. Balooja’s Foundation was contacted, and we agreed to take him into rescue. He immediately went to the veterinarian for presumed parvovirus, thankfully it wasn’t parvovirus. He went into a foster to adopt

home and shortly after his foster failed and adopted this once disregarded “street dog.”

He now resides in Irvine, CA with a family who absolutely adores him. His Mom said it best “He is our light.”

GLENN'S STORY

Glenn was rescued from a Lancaster, CA in a terrible state of health. He was unable to walk and was immediately taken to the veterinary hospital. Once at the hospital we learned of his horrific condition which led to a long hospitalization. He had over 600 foxtails that had invaded him internally. He required multiple surgeries to remove them. He was very sick and we weren’t sure he would survive.

He went into a wonderful foster family who helped this little boy heal both inside and out. Soon we had many people who wanted to adopt him. I met with a family who had a female senior cocker spaniel and wanted to add another one to the family. When they met Glenn it was love and first sight. He went on a trial foster to adopt and soon after they foster failed. “We would love to finalize his adoption.” And like that Glenn had his forever.

BILLY'S STORY

"Billy the kid" is a 4 year old Lhasa Apso mix. He’s fully vetted and ready for his new life with his own family.

He’s very low key, extremely friendly with everything on earth. He has not one mean bone in his body. The perfect companion.

BASIL'S STORY

Sally/Basil was rescued from a home in Ontario, CA after suffering several injuries and untreated medical issues. She went directly to the vet for treatment. Here we learned she had chemical burns, mammary masses, pelvic fractures, and a chronic hip dislocation that had gone untreated and fused incorrectly. She had FHO Surgery, mammary mass removal, spay, dental, micro-chipped & fully vaccinated. She then went into her foster home. Here her fosters helped her heal both inside and out. Shortly after entering her foster home her fosters failed and decided she was already home and adopted Basil.

She went through so much, but she never complained. She’s the light of her parent’s eyes.
